"The top player is here."

One of the biggest highlights of Street Fighter 6 is the new generation of characters that have been added to the game, including the likes of Marisa and Manon. Perhaps the most interesting debut in Street Fighter 6 though is Jamie, a master of the drunken boxing style. Friends with series veterans Yun and Yang, Jamie Siu possesses both incredible speed and power, making him a worthy choice for a master.

While you meet Jamie around the halfway point of Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode, some careless players might completely miss the opportunity to make Jamie your master, so in order to avoid those situations, this is everything you need to know about becoming Jamie’s student in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode.

Street Fighter 6 World Tour | Jamie Master Guide

At the start of Chapter 8 as part of the main questline, you’ll be told to head to Chinatown at night to meet with Chun-Li’s student, Li-Fen. As you head into the alleyway on the west side of Chinatown, you’ll trigger a cutscene where some thugs are on the receiving end of a beatdown from one Jamie Siu. After a case of mistaken identity, you’ll be forced into a fight with the drunken master himself.

Jamie certainly isn’t a slouch, but he’s not quite as tough as some of the optional masters you can run into, like Ken for instance. If you’ve been diligent in completing side quests, levelling up and upgrading your gear, you should be able to withstand his offence long enough to get the win. Just make sure you avoid his super art, as that can be quite devastating.

Jamie won’t agree to be your master immediately though, so you’ll need to leave the area and progress the story a little bit before returning to Chinatown at night. You’ll now find Jamie on the rooftop where you spoke with the leader of the Canary Crate gang back in Chapter 2. Head up there and speak to Jamie, and he’ll then agree to becoming your master.

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S.
