While few may have fallen in love with Kelvin from day one in Sons of the Forest, as it’s hard not to love the big dope, Virginia has turned out to be the surprise MVP of the game for many. Well, as surprising as people liking a woman with extra limbs could be. If you’ve managed to befriend her and want to change her outfit from that default white swimsuit, then you’ll want to get your hands on Virginia’s dress.
As with most location solutions in Sons of the Forest, there’s plenty that you’ll need to before you can get her dress, though, not least of which is finding the Shovel. We’ll link the video location for that below, but you will need the Rebreather and Rope Gun first and foremost. Prepare for a lot of steps and confusing caves:
Once you the Shovel, head over to Maintenance A on the map, located below:
Dig up the ground with your newly acquired Shovel, then make your way down into Maintenance A.
Down here, beware of mutant babies at the end of the corridor where you can also get the Firefighter Axe. Take a right into the vacant room with the blaring music, then pick up the Maintenance Keycard from next to the 3D Printer.
With this keycard, now you’re going to want to head on over to this location (yellow arrow) in the south of the map that leads into a cave; you should see a couple of golf carts outside. It’s also a blinking green circle on your GPS.
Head down until you arrive at a hatch called Food and Dining, then drop down into the strange room littered with corpses below.
On your right, there should be a locked door. Use your Maintenance Keycard on this door to unlock it and enter what seems to be some kind of garden. Beware, there is a powerful Finger mutant inside as well as some mutant babies. You can find a Crossbow in this next room next to a corpse.
Either kill the mutants or run past them and keep following every open door until you start swimming through a submerged area. Again, just swim through every open door until you arrive at this section.
Take this open door on the left and keep walking until you arrive in what looks like a security room. Pick up the VIP Keycard from the shelving on the right, which seems to also be Virginia’s, then return to the corridor and open the door at the far end.
Once inside this massive dining area, you can find Virginia’s Dress on a couch on the right side of the room.
To get out, equip your Rebreather and walk through the massive broken window, then swim until you get out the other side. There are a few mutants in this short cave system, but honestly you may as well just sprint until you get out of the cave.
The next time you see Virginia, hold E and select the Dress and she will wear it. Don’t forget that you need to befriend her before you can interact with her.
You can change her outfit again at any time by following the same steps. Perhaps it’s just us, but she really looks like Vera Farmiga with this smock on. Check out the nice family photo above.
