Bandai Namco have confirmed that another veteran of the Soulcalibur series will be returning for the sixth installment of the franchise. Please welcome back everyone’s favourite blonde haired guy with a giant sword (that isn’t called Cloud): Siegfried.

The video above confirms that Siegfried is keeping the vast majority of his moveset, including his kicks, the sword charge and his sidestep vertical slash. His Critical Edge also looks fantastic, though it’s not even a patch on Nightmare’s.
The inclusion of Siegfried in Soulcalibur VI is interesting, as this game is supposed to be a retelling of the first Soulcalibur game. During that time in the series’ history, Siegfried was actually running around the world as Nightmare. Perhaps the story mode will show his transformation, or perhaps this version of Siegfried is different. Who knows? We’re just happy to see the big lad back in the game.
