After the announcement of cloud versions of Control: Ultimate Edition and Hitman 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch yesterday, it would appear that Nintendo are ramping up their cloud gaming offerings. There’s a ResetEra thread showing a title screen for Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version for the Nintendo, found on the same website you need to access to play Control.
Will Resident Evil 3 Come To The Switch?
It’s looking likely that it will be, especially considering there’s been a few leaks regarding a Switch version ever since the game came out. Back in March, a datamine of the demo’s files found reference to the Nintendo Switch, suggesting that a version was in the works.
As for it being a Cloud Version, Capcom were the first to really experiment with the Switch’s cloud gaming capabilities, as Resident Evil 7 was available as a cloud game for the Nintendo Switch. That being said, this is all speculation at the moment, with no official confirmation from either Nintendo or Capcom, so take all this with a pinch of salt until either party surprise drops this news.
