Rainbow Six Siege Matchmaking on PS4 is Having Issues Right Now

siege

Rainbow Six Siege has never had buttery smooth servers. There’s a pretty distinct ratio (roughly 1 in 5) of matches, at least in my playtime, bugging out our just not working whenever I play on PS4.

After deploying a script last night with the intention of speeding up the process, the exact opposite has happened, which is hilarious and annoying at once. Matchmaking just isn’t working as it should, if at all. Long periods of waiting are to be expected, but I spent an hour trying to play one simple game of Casual earlier.

Ubisoft are on the case, however:

The game’s currently in the middle of its free weekend and the Invitational, as well as hyping up the new operators for Velvet Shell. Not great timing, but service should resume as normal before too long.

In case you didn’t know, Rainbow Six Siege overcame a rocky launch to become one of the biggest things in gaming, creating a dedicated community of obsessives thanks to consistent content updates and patches. You still have time to take part in the free weekend, so grab a friend and get barricading.
