If you’ve been following the trajectory of Rainbow Six Siege from plucky but rough launch game to the refined beast it is now, seeing that it has its own eSports competition will probably make you feel very warm.
Over the past year, Ubisoft have been tweaking and adding to the base game, listening to player feedback and acting on it. They’ve been adding new content, which includes maps and operators, as well as changing up the basics. If you haven’t played Siege since December 2015 and just started playing it again, you might not even recognise it.
In conjunction with its free weekend, the Rainbow Six Invitational will take place this Sunday, February 5 at 7 a.m. PT (10 a.m. ET/3 p.m. UK/Monday February 6 at 3 a.m. AET) and will showcase the best of the best doing what they do for a share of the $200,000 prize kitty.
