No Straight Roads
No Straight Roads review

Those of you who want to take up the mantle of a rockstar and go to war against the entire EDM genre will find No Straight Roads to be exactly what they’re looking for, which is handy considering that the game is available today on PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch.

Check out the trailer below.

No Straight Roads puts you in the shoes of Mayday and Duke, an indie rock duo who are facing down the might of an EDM empire, the titular No Straight Roads. The gameplay revolves around rhythm-based combat, with players using the music as an audio cue to avoid attacks and mount a counterattack. There’s also a skill tree for players to upgrade their abilities in a variety of ways.

We had the chance to review No Straight Roads ahead of today’s launch, and while there’s a couple of minor flaws, we found it to be a highly rewarding experience. Here’s some of our thoughts below.

Even if it isn’t perfect, No Straight Roads has enough charm to make it likely to strike a chord with those who want something just a little bit different. For those who are ready to rock, have fun.
