Nintendo has today released a v10.0.4 update for the Nintendo Switch that fixes the eShop errors that some players were encountering.
The update specifically looks to fix the issue where players in certain regions couldn’t add funds or card to buy items on the eShop: the place to buy digital games on your Switch.
Here are the patch notes in full:
Ver. 10.0.4 (Released June 4, 2020)
Fixed the following issue:
We have fixed the issue where it was not possible in some countries or regions to add funds using a new credit card or to register credit card information in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately nothing too interesting for anyone looking for new features on their Switch, which is still lacking more than the most basic of customisation, as well as a lot of apps we take for granted elsewhere. It’s going to be a longer wait yet until you get a substantial Switch update.
If you want to download the new update, it should immediately start when you go to launch a new game, but you can also start the update by visiting System Update in settings and checking for v10.0.4.
Elsewhere in the world of Nintendo, DOOM Eternal may soon be coming to Switch and Mortal Kombat’s new edition is code in a box, which isn’t great.
