Nintendo Direct 2015: 19 Things We Learned

Iwata

16. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

A remake of the Wii game in stunning 3D. It’s still a New 3DS Exclusive and is now confirmed for the US. It is being ported by the same team that ported Donkey Kong Country Returns to the 3DS. The game will release exclusively for the new 3DS in April.

17. IronFall

Nintendo has really gone all out with this one. It’s a hardcore, Gears of War style 3rd person cover-based shooter running at 60 FPS with 6 player online and local multiplayer, as well as an “intense” single player campaign. It will release for both the 3DS and New 3DS, but will be optimized to run with the second analog input found on the new console. It will be available this February.

18. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

It’s the standard sequel update fare with two new weapon classes, enhanced control with the new C-stick, and a better tutorial for newcomers to the series. A demo will be made available soon and the full game will release on February 13thalongside the New 3DS.

19. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D

This is a remake in the same vein as Ocarina of Time 3D with an all new clock decal, and 360 camera control with the C-stick added to make the New 3DS the best way to play. We were also given a release date of February 13th alongside the New 3DS.

And with that, the Direct ended rather abruptly at the EXACT 47 minute mark as planned. While many were left dazed and confused by the abrupt ending, others were out shouting to the rooftops their love for Nintendo. Hopefully this helped you pick up what you might have missed in the big bunch of news that’s been coming out these last few days and I hope you Nintendo Fans are all satisfied with your upcoming Q1 purchases.
