USA Network have revealed that Mr. Robot Season 4 will be its last. The news comes in just a week after Christian Slater discussed how he didn’t see it going past Season 4. In the announcement, USA Network also noted that it would release in 2019, with production beginning this Winter in New York.

Creator, showrunner and director Sam Esmail, the mind behind the show, confirmed the news with a heartfelt message.

“When I first created the world of Mr. Robot, I thought it would be a niche television series with a small, cult following. Over the past three years, it has become so much more, and I am continually humbled by the show’s recognition and by the amazing cast and crew that work tirelessly to help bring my vision to life. Since day one, I’ve been building toward one conclusion — and in breaking the next season of Mr. Robot, I have decided that conclusion is finally here. Everyone on the creative team, including the amazing people at USA and UCP, didn’t want to say goodbye, but we ultimately have too much respect for Elliot’s journey to extend past its inevitable ending. Therefore, Season 4 will serve as the final chapter of the Mr. Robot story. To fans of the show: thank you for the past three years, and I can’t wait to share this exciting final season with you.”

Evidently, the creative team behind Mr. Robot feel the show is ready for a powerful conclusion and don’t want to drag it out any longer than it needs to be, which is a miracle considering most television shows outstay their welcome these days. It’s nice to see that Mr. Robot will be wrapped up as and when it needs to be rather than when it’s forced to after cancellation. Given the ending of Season 3, everything is definitely ready to come together for a brilliant finale.

Season 3’s finale saw Elliot reverse the effects of Five/Nine, which crippled the world economy while simultaneously progressing Whiterose’s plan unwillingly. The events that occurred between Elliot and the Dark Army have finally brought Elliot and Mr. Robot into a state of alliance, ready to take the enemy head on. The pieces are all set for the final season of Mr. Robot, and it’s going to be beautiful.

Mr. Robot’s final season will air in 2019. Are you ready for it? Drop us a comment on your
