Ingredients to Make a Cake in Minecraft
You will need the nine ingredients below to make a cake in Minecraft.
3x Milk Bucket
The easiest way to get a Milk Bucket is by using an Empty Bucket on cows, goats, or mooshrooms. Each Empty Bucket requires 3 Iron Ingots to craft, so make sure you have spent some time mining first.
2x Sugar
You can get 1 Sugar by putting a Sugar Cane into the crafting area or get 3 Sugar by using Honey Bottle instead.
Another source of obtaining Sugar is to farm witches. Each witch has a 12.5% chance of dropping 0-2 Sugar on death. With Looting enchantment, you can increase this number up to 5 Sugar.
1x Egg
An Egg is an exclusive drop of the chicken mob in Minecraft. Although the time for each chicken to lay an egg is quite long (5-10 minutes), you can always breed them to speed up the process.
Alternatively, you can get an Egg by looking for foxes or looting Fletcher’s chest in the village structure. However, the chance is low, so we’d recommend finding a chicken instead.
3x Wheat
Wheat is the most common crop item in Minecraft. You can harvest them by planting Wheat Seeds on the farmland. And to get Wheat Seeds, harvesting grasses or existing wheat crops are two great options.
If you have a block of Hay Bale in your inventory, put it in the crafting area to get 9 Wheat. Hay Bale blocks are primarily spawned in the village structures.
Moreover, you can find 1-21 Wheat by looting treasure chests spawned in dungeons, igloos, pillager outposts, shipwrecks, underwater ruins, villages, and woodland mansions.
How To Use Cake Ingredients
Besides the above ingredients, you must have a Crafting Table, which can be crafted with 4 Wooden Planks (any wood type).
Next, right-click the Crafting Table to open a 3×3 crafting grid, then put an Egg in the middle grid, 3 Milk Buckets on the top row, 3 Wheat on the bottom row, and fill the two remaining slots with Sugar.
The cake item will display in the result slot on the right. Simply click on it to bring a newly crafted cake to your inventory. Now let’s enjoy the sweetness.
Other Ways to Get Cake in Minecraft
Apart from crafting, there are two other ways to get a cake in Minecraft.
The first way is to find a cake inside buried treasure chests. To find one, you can dig the 9th (Java Edition) or 8th (Bedrock Edition) block in each chunk in the beach, snowy beach, or stony shore biomes. Another efficient way is to find a treasure map in the shipwreck structure. This map will lead you straight to the buried treasure chest.
Secondly, you can trade 1 Emerald with the expert farmer village for a cake.
