In the latest example of game development being disrupted by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed again.

The latest installment in the long-running Lego Star Wars series was announced in 2019 with a planned release date of 2020, then rescheduled in August for ‘Spring 2021.’

Developer TT Games tweeted an update, explaining that they need more time to complete “the biggest and best-ever LEGO game,’ and promising to provide more scheduling details when they are available.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is meant to cover all nine core Star Wars films, with newer, more open environments that are built in a new engine for the series.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been announced for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. It joins Gotham Knights, also published through Warner Bros Games, in being delayed due to development complications.
