Get To The Choppa: Helicopters Are Now In Fortnite (UPDATED)

And it has no guns!

Choppa Fortnite

Those worried that Fortnite still doesn’t have a lot of mobility in its second season of Chapter 2 will no longer have to worry. Helicopters have been found within the v12.20 update files, meaning that they should be available in-game right now.

Found before release by dataminer Lucas7yoshi, the helicopter features three propellers and room for four other players including yourself.

Here’s what it looks like:

It even has an official trailer, featuring Deadpool and even the long-awaited Oro skin. You can check that out above.

“Get in and fly out. Grab up to 4 other squadmates and take on enemy teams with the Choppa.”

As for where you can find the helicopter in Fortnite, its locations are likely to be wherever there is a helipad, which means that all of the new POIs — such as The Agency and The Grotto — will have one.

And, before you worry, it’s not like the planes from Season 7 all over again — the Choppa does not feature any guns.

The Choppa, as it is officially known, became available once downtime was up, though players will have to install a large file to get up to date with the v12.20 patch.

We will update this as we get more information, including how much health the Choppa has and what it can really do.

UPDATE: The Choppa has 1500 HP and a boost option to go faster and does not have any guns to shoot other players with. However, teammates can hang off the side and use their guns, though the velocity makes hitting enemies quite difficult.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
