With Fortnitemares 2018 well underway and anyone not playing Red Dead Redemption 2 probably battling other players and arguably too many zombies, there’s a new wealth of challenges to make your way through in Fortnite.
Completing all of the different challenges in their respective parts nets you a pretty sweet ass glider and apart from one challenge that asks you to track down gargoyles, it all kind of explains itself. If you’re struggling with the Fortnitemares 2018 challenges, here’s what you need to do for Part 2.
Quick note: you do not need to have the Battle Pass to complete the below challenges.
Fortnitemares 2018 Challenges – Part 2
Destroy Cube Fiends (150) – 500 XP
A walk in the park. The Cube Fiends are the spindly grunts that attack you and they are the most common Cube Monsters (read: zombies) of them all. You should be able to get this dusted off in a couple of matches, no sweat. Just jump to a Corrupted Area that’s furthest away from the bus route and you’re on easy street.
Deal damage with Shotguns or SMGs to Cube Monsters (5000) – 500 XP
Another one that you can absolutely fly through, especially in tandem with the other Fortnitemares challenges. It’s best to swap between a Shotgun and SMG like you would with a human opponent in a regular match, but these guys make themselves an easy target. Note that this challenge applies to any of the not-zombies and not just a particular one.
Eliminate opponents at Corrupted Areas (3) – 500 XP
This one’s a little tougher as it depends a lot on luck. You can always risk it and drop immediately at a Corrupted Area, but you kind of need to depend on nobody else getting to a chest first to have a chance of winning the day. Try to keep an eye out for enemies in the mid-late stages of the match for a more feasible way of completing this one.
Destroy a Ghost Decoration in Different Named Locations (7) – 500 XP
The only relatively involved challenge out of all of Part 2, there’s no shortage of Ghost Decorations on the Fortnite map. They’re at pretty much every important spot and can usually be found elevated, like near a window on the second floor of a building. Just hit seven spooky bois once with your pickaxe and poof, 500 XP is yours.
