Fortnite Season 5 Guide: Week 7 Battle Pass Challenges Walkthrough

Fortnite

Week seven of season 5 is here. Three of the seven weekly challenges are still free, while the other four still require the Battle Pass to complete. Therefore, if you want all seven challenges for the week, you need to purchase a Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks. If you’d prefer to wait, you can buy the Battle Pass anytime throughout the season and be granted access to all challenges from week’s previous. Only four weeks of total challenges left before season 5 rewards are inaccessible permanently, best to purchase soon if you’re interested in the rewards.

Below is a list of the seven challenges for week seven and how to complete them.

Visit different named locations in a single match (4 locations)
An easier version of seasons 4’s ‘visit the centre of named locations challenge’. This time, you simply just need to enter a named location to receive credit, rather than reach a flag in the centre. Seeing as this challenge still requires you to survive to visit each location in a single match, you can follow the same route as our season 4 guide to maximise your chances of success. Otherwise, just land in a less populated region of the map (away from the bus or the edges of the map) and just rotate to each named town avoiding trouble as you go. No sweat.

Search supply drops (3 supply drops)
This is the random challenge for the week. You need to search three supply drops over as many games as it takes. Access to supply drops gets easier the further into the match you get. Surviving the early game is the main goal here, try to land somewhere secluded, gear up and wait for those packages to drop.

SMG eliminations (3 eliminations)
The standard get three eliminations with X weapon. This week’s weapon is the SMG family (which includes the Drum Gun) of guns. A very strong weapon type this season and very common. Finding an SMG nor getting kills with them will be particularly difficult. Just land at Lazy Links to complete the other elimination challenge in tandem, or somewhere semi-populated, and you’ll be done in no time at all.

Deal damage to opponent’s structures with Remote Explosives (8000 damage)
The typical deal damage with X weapon challenge, but this time, you need to deal damage to enemy structures rather than an actual enemy. The trick with this challenge will be finding the Remote Explosives, being a semi-rare (blue rarity) weapon with no alternatives (being the only variation of this weapon type). The next trick is getting close enough to detonate a nice chunk of buildings (like a Port-A-Fort). If you’re not too interested in taking risks, just focus on surviving until the map thins out, then search around for abandoned structures to demolish. You’re likely to stumble upon many abandoned structures later on in the match, remnants of past battles and duels.

Search chests in different locations (5 Chests)
The weekly chest challenge, but with a pretty unique twist. Instead of asking you to search seven chests in a single location, Epic presents you with a multi-stage challenge. For each stage of the challenge, you’re asked to search a chest in a specific named location. Once you’ve collected a chest from that location you’ll need to finish the match before the challenge will update to the next location. This means it will take a minimum of five matches to complete this challenge.

Follow the treasure map in Dusty Divot
The classic treasure hunt challenge that so faithfully returns every week. Dusty Divot houses the treasure map for this week. If searching around doesn’t appeal to you, or want your tiers ASAP, we have you covered.

Eliminate opponents in Lazy Links (3 eliminations)
The final challenge for this week is the eliminations at specific locations challenge. This week is Lazy Links, the new golf course area added for season 5. A decent area for this kind of challenge, Lazy Links is populated most games, but not overly so. As long as you can get your hands on a decent weapon for the longer ranges most of the fights take place at (minus the main building), it should only take a few games to get it done.
