Fortnite’s fifth season is upon us, which means a whole host of new challenges to beat and shots to whiff. Epic have changed the formula slightly with the Battle Pass this time out, meaning that those who don’t own it have more challenges to complete. However, the Road Trip challenge is exclusive to Battle Pass owners.
The replacement for last season’s Blockbuster challenge, season 5 brings the Road Trip challenge: a long-term quest to completely dust off seven different weeks of challenges throughout the season. Meet the criteria and you would unlock a new skin. Last season’s reward was The Visitor, which quickly became something of an unwanted skin. You would expect season 5’s Road Trip skin to be more interesting.

To make your way towards the Road Trip skin, you must up to seven weeks of challenges. We’re one week in, so we still have six more to go after this. Note: you don’t have to complete them in order; just seven in total. Once you’ve dusted off this week’s challenges, here’s the loading screen you unlock (the game won’t notify you, you’ll have to go to your locker screen.
Pretty straightforward, no? Let’s delve into it.
Week 1 Road Trip Battle Star Walkthrough
So the first thing your eye should be drawn towards is the map on the loading screen, which prominently displays the Battle Star in the mine area near the newly added Lazy Links, which is no substitute for the reliable Anarchy Acres. RIP, Anarchy. Your loot was good and your penis towers resolute.
The mine area site west of Lazy and is easy to find thanks to its distinctive umbrella shape. You can find it between E2 and E3, but the Battle Star itself is located on the surface at E2.
Really straightforward stuff: just dive down towards the mine and look at the “tip” of the umbrella in the center and you should find it.
Simply interact with the floaty boy and you will be one week closer to being inevitably disappointed by whatever the skin is as well as the recipient of one free Battle Pass tier. The Battle Pass skins have really disappointed me this time out, but I am aiming for Sledgehammer.
