Fortnite Season 5 Guide: Follow The Flush Factory Treasure Map

With a new week comes a new Battle Pass treasure hunt challenge. Continuing on in the alternating fashion, week three’s treasure hunt is of the ‘map’ variety. This challenge requires you to find a map squirrelled away in a specific location, decipher the location the map displays (usually a crudely drawn rendition of a location, sometimes with a little information omitted or manipulated) and ‘dig’ up that treasure for your Battle Pass tier. This week’s map is located in Flush Factory.

Remember, like every ‘find the treasure’ based challenge (that isn’t a ‘Road Trip’ one), you can skip straight to the location of the treasure if you already know where it is, bypassing the map step entirely. If you’re not interested in how the treasure is found – or you’re in a hurry – just skip to the final section of the guide. It will have a picture of the treasure location marked on the map as well as a picture of the treasure itself. For those interested in the whole process (or only want a partial answer revealed to them), read on.

On the southeastern corner of Flush Factory lies an isolated building surrounded by a chain link fence. On the eastern wall of this building (on the outside, but inside the chain link fence) resides the map. This appears as D9 of the main map’s grid.

Like week one, this week’s map is another vertical image (viewed from the side), rather than the more traditional horizontal one (viewed from above). The map illustrates a small residence sitting atop a hill, viewed from the east (compass rotated 90 degrees right). With the season 5 updates, there is only one place on the main that contains a single house sitting atop a high, steep hill. The hill in question is northwest of Fatal Fields and southwest of Salty Springs. This hill appears on the intersecting grid sections of; E7, E8, F7 and F8.

Once you’ve made your way to the top of the hill (by building or landing up there), the treasure will be buried on the eastern side of the hilltop. There will be a path leading towards the house, as the road curves there will be a bald patch of land on the outside of the bend, the treasure rests on this bald patch. This appears as F8 on the main map’s grid.

Once you find the bald patch, grab the treasure and you’vefinished this challenge for the week.

This challenge and the ‘clay pigeon skeet shooting’ challenge are the two challenges that benefit from a guide this week. If you’re looking for a list of locations for the skeet shooting machines, you can check out our guide on that soon. The rest of the challenges are of the typical variety that we’ve seen in the previous season, with a few changes in the way they’re accused and organised. If you’re looking for a quick, but complete overview of the week three challenges, check out that guide here.
