Fortnite Season 4 Guide: Week 2 Battle Pass Challenges Walkthrough

Fortnite Season 4

Week 2 of Fortnite season 4’s Battle Pass went live a few hours ago; Tuesday appears to be the new weekly reset day as opposed to last season’s Thursday. As per usual, you’ll need the Battle Pass (950 V-bucks) to be able to access and complete these challenges and by extension receive the exclusive rewards. Don’t fret if you don’t have the Battle Pass yet: all challenges are retroactive, so you can complete these challenges at a later date. As long as you don’t wait an entire season of course.

Below is a list of the seven challenges for the week and how to complete them.

Search chests in Greasy Grove
You need to open seven chests in Greasy Grove. Usually takes more than a single game (unless you get lucky and it’s deserted), but just land here over the course of a few games and you’ll be done in no time.

Consume Hop Rocks
Hop Rocks (I’ve been calling them power crystals) are the purple crystals you find in the meteor impact craters, bestowing upon you the legendary power of high, floaty jumps and immunity to fall damage. You need to eat seven of them to complete the challenge.

Deal damage with suppressed weapons to opponents
Fairly straightforward, deal 500 damage to opponents with suppressed weapons. While straightforward, it can be a bit annoying due to the weakness of suppressed weapons in general. The Suppressed SMG is a pitiful gun and the Suppressed Pistol can be quite rare. This makes completing the challenge in one life painful when you’re fighting innumerable waves of shotgun wielding goons.

Dance in front of different film cameras
This is one of the two indirect challenges for the week. Scattered around the map are film cameras (specifically film industry ones, not the security ones which are quite common). You need to dance in front of seven to complete this challenge. We’ve written up a detailed guide on how to complete this challenge here.

Search between a scarecrow, a pink hotrod, and a Big Screen
This is the other indirect Battle Pass challenge for week 2. Similar to the Tomato Town treasure map from the previous week, you’re required to find the treasure. Instead of a map to guide you, however, you’re told to search between the 3 landmarks named above. Like last week, you can also skip straight to the treasure if you happen to know where it’s buried, and we just so happen to know. Read our guide here.

Explosive weapon eliminations
Fairly simple, 3 explosive kills. RPGs, grenades, grenade launchers, sticky grenades all count. So scrounge around then decimate your enemy with them.

Eliminate opponents in Tomato Town
The most straightforward of all the challenges in my view (and my favourite type!). Land in Tomato Town, grab a gun (or pickaxe if feeling brave), blap 3 enemies until dead, and collect your stars.

That’s it for this week. For the moment anyway — just like last week, there may be another secret just around the corner.
