Fortnite Season 4 Guide: Follow The Tomato Town Treasure Map

Fortnite Season 4 1
Game's peak IMO

With the advent of season 4, Epic Games has graced us with all new weekly Battle Pass challenges. The first week has 2 trickier challengers that involve searching main map, one of which is a treasure map located in Tomato Town. This challenge functions quite similarly to previous seasons treasure hunt challenges, below is a short walkthrough on where the treasure is located and how to find it.

For those that only care about expediency, you can skip this part. It’s not necessary to actually visit the treasure map itself to complete the challenge, just retrieving the treasure without any extra steps is sufficient.

For the curious; the treasure map is located in the northernmost part of Tomato Town near the taco shop (bottom centre of G3 on the main map’s grid). The map is situated on a brick wall on the northern perimeter of town (just walk out the Taco shop), hidden behind a dumpster. It shows a picture of a lake, a rock and a tree. At first this didn’t look familiar, but Loot Lake underwent some renovations of its own. Head on down to Loot Lake.

The treasure is located out on the eastern part of Loot Lake, not far from the lake’s eastern river. More specifically, it’s perched on a small half-sunken boat just south of a large rock (bottom right corner of E4 on the main map’s grid). The large rock out on the lake is the best landmark for finding the half-sunken boat and was added to the map with the season 4 changes.

Once you’ve built (or waded) out to the boat, just interact with the treasure and you’re done.

This plus the F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letter hunt are the two trickier Battle Pass challenges for the week. If you’re looking for assistance with that challenge, check our guide here. With those done you can just blap your way through the rest with regular gameplay (pistol kills, sniper damage, etc.) to get your sweet, sweet Battle Pass rewards. Which, in my opinion, are well worth the effort.
