Fortnite Season 4 Guide: Where To Find The F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E Letters

Fortnite Season 4

With the advent of season 4, Epic Games has graced us with all new weekly Battle Pass challenges. The first week has 2 trickier challengers that involve searching the main map, one of which is the F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letter hunt. Below is a short guide explaining how the challenge works and the locations I’ve discovered so far.

How it works

Fortnite Season 4

The eight letters spell FORTNITE, appear as uppercase, bolded and are light blue (pictures below). They have spawns in both named areas (e.g. Tilted Towers, Wailing Woods, etc.) as well as non-named areas of interests. Once a letter is interacted with, it will disappear and that location will not spawn a letter in the same place next match. So each location is a one-shot deal.

The letters are usually situated outdoors and up high on the roof of structure (e.g. the clock tower in Tilted, the tower near Lucky Landing, etc.), though sometimes they may be found on ground level. Each letter is always obtained in the proper order as the game automatically moves on to the next letter required. This means you can visit any location in any order you feel fit. Additionally, there is no restriction on the amount of matches required and your progress doesn’t reset, so it can be done at your own pace and convenient.

There are more than eight letter spawn locations in total, this allows players to finish the challenge through regular and without having to visit every single location or go out of their way. Below is a map marked with all letter spawns I’ve encountered so far (so this most likely isn’t an exhaustive list). I have also included screenshots of each location a brief description of where to find them in each location.

Once you’ve visited 8 of the letter locations and interacted with the letters, the challenge will be marked as complete in your log.

This, in conjunction with the Tomato Town treasure map, are the two trickier Battle Pass challenges for the week. If you’re looking for assistance with that challenge, check our guide here. With those done you can just dak-dak your way through the rest with regular gameplay (pistol kills, sniper damage, etc.) to get your sweet, sweet Battle Pass rewards. Which, in my opinion, look really meteoric this season!
