Fortnite LazarBeam Icon Skin: Price, Release Date & What You Should Know (UPDATED)

Yeet, and so on.

Professional troll and sometimes Fortnite player LazarBeam has announced that he is next up for his own skin as part of the Icon Series in the game. He’s such a good troll, in fact, that it wasn’t clear if he was in fact trolling about it being real, but after Fortnite retweeted him, it certainly looks to be the case.

LazarBeam, real name Lannan Eacott, is a massively popular Australian content creator who has been playing Fortnite almost since the day it launched. Despite him being a bit more sporadic with his Fortnite content these days, anyone with 18.1M subscribers and a pretty huge fanbase is worth collaborating with. The man of many yeets will join Ninja, Loserfruit, Lachlan, and most recently TheGrefg as content creators who received their own skins in Fortnite. Curiously, three out five Icon skins added so far have been Australian.

There’s nothing to add. It’s just an interesting statistic.

Here’s everything you need to know about the LazarBeam skin in Fortnite, including when it will release and how much it will cost.

Fortnite Lazarbeam Skin Reveal

LazarBeam revealed his Icon skin in Fortnite in the stream above at 5 PM EST/10PM GMT, March 1st. There’s no mullet or an emote that is just him shouting “yeet”, so someone at Epic really messed up. However, him basically being an Australian tradesman with an emote of him sitting and eating a pie is a really nice touch and a lovely nod to his family.

Fortnite Lazarbeam Skin Release Date

LazarBeam is set to be released in Fortnite as an Icon skin on March 4th in the Item Shop and his files will be in the game following the conclusion of the v15.50 update. It’s good for Epic to release these skins a little earlier, seeing as how they keep getting leaked.

Fortnite Lazarbeam Skin Price

Based on other Icon skins added to Fortnite, LazarBeam will cost 1500 V-Bucks from the Fortnite Item Shop and will be available to purchase for around a week.

There will also be additional cosmetics with the skin itself, such as a Gingie Back Bling, sledgehammer pickaxe and emote, that will be available as part of a bundle. The skin will also come with an additional style.

Players will also be able to compete in a tournament called the Super Knockback Cup on March 3rd to unlock the Lazarbeam skin a day early. He will also be giving away the skin for free to a selected few.

LazarBeam is one of the biggest content creators in the world, so it makes sense that he would be the next pick. Time will only tell if he will be able to top TheGrefG’s crazy streaming record, though.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
