Fortnite Jinx Skin: Price, Release Date & What You Should Know

The newest collaboration in Fortnite.

Fortnite Jinx

Fortnite: Season 8 has been a pretty big one in terms of storyline and content, including this year’s edition of Fortnitemares. However, it’s been just as busy in terms of crossovers, and the latest is another gaming icon: Jinx from League of Legends.

Leaked ahead of the official reveal, Jinx will be coming to Fortnite as part of the Gaming Legends Series, following in the footsteps of the likes of Lara Croft, Kratos, and Master Chief. What’s interesting here, though, is that it’s a collaboration with game that’s a bit of a competitor for Fortnite in terms of demographic. League of Legends is also bigger worldwide than Fortnite — not many games can say that.

Here’s everything you need to know about Jinx in Fortnite, including when she will release and how much she will cost.

Who Is Jinx?

Jinx is a champion (read: playable character) in League of Legends and arguably the game’s mascot. You could argue that she’s the LoL version of Jonesy or Fishstick.

Jinx belongs in the Marksman class and is played on the bottom lane. She costs 4800 BE or 800 RP.

Jinx will be a major character in Arcane, a new animated series based on the game that will be coming to Netflix this November. It’s likely that her Fortnite skin will be based more on that version of the character rather than the more “risque” default design. She is also the younger sister of Vi.

Here’s what she looks like in Fortnite, where she indeed goes by her Arcane Jinx version:

Pretty spot on.

Fortnite Jinx Skin Release Date

Jinx was revealed on November 4th, 2021, and will be released into the Item Shop the same day. She will likely stay in the Item Shop for a week, as has been the case with most crossovers in Fortnite history.

This release info will coincide with the debut of Arcane on November 6th, 2021 on Netflix. Arcane will apparently be more catered toward those who already know a lot about LoL, but this crossover suggests Riot might be wanting to open the universe up to new players.

This info comes from @ShiinaBR, who was the first to break the news about Jinx making her way over to Fortnite. It will be interesting to see if Jonesy comes to LoL in return — it’d be amazing.
