There have been plenty of new things and changes with the launch of Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 4, with the addition of chrome weapons being one of them, as well as the ability to upgrade said chrome weapons.
The EvoChrome Burst Rifle and EvoChrome Shotgun are two of the chrome weapons added at the start of Season 4. Both of these weapons can quite commonly be found in the chrome areas of the map; the Herald’s Sanctum environment is particularly rife with chrome and chrome weapons. Both can also be upgraded.
To upgrade these chrome weapons in Fortnite, players simply have to deal damage with the EvoChrome weapon until a bar is filled underneath the weaon’s name, and then press your reload button to activate the upgrade.
While not every will be able to manage it in a single match, players can technically take an Uncommon rarity chrome weapon all the way up to a Mythic rarity weapon by dealing damage. The higher the rarity, the more damage that you have to deal to upgrade your chrome weapon.
Elsewhere in Fortnite, players can get their hands on plenty of other cool items, including the Port-A-Bunker and Chrome Splash, and also take on The Herald, the new big bad for the season.
