Have you been activated? Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season asks you to join either SHADOW or GHOST, though Epic are yet to add that functionality in at this time of writing. Both sides are part of a secret agent civil war, with this week’s challenge asking you to find SHADOW safe houses across the Fortnite map.
A whole bunch of secret spots were added to the Season 2 map, usually accessible by jumping in a toilet or dumpster where agents patrol nearby. There’s no shortage of SHADOW safe houses for you to jump into, and we’ve rounded them all up for you.
Here’s everything you need to know to find SHADOW safe houses in Season 2, including the Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, and Echo safe houses.
SHADOW Safe Houses Map
As you can see, the SHADOW safe houses are spread out pretty far and wide on the Fortnite map, only one being in a named location: Pleasant Park. The map above shows the general area of the safe houses, but read on to find out how to access all of the secret areas.
SHADOW Safe House – Alpha
The safe house that most are probably familiar with, the Alpha SHADOW safe house is located in Pleasant Park with there being two different ways of entering it. You can either jump into the toilet behind the gas station, or you can jump in the toilet near the tiny temporary modern house that only lunatics drops at.
SHADOW Safe House – Beta
The first SHADOW safe house not at a named location, Beta is located to the west of Frenzy Farm at a gas station, G4 on the Fortnite grid. To find the entrance, make your way to the northern side of the gas station and jump into a toilet in a little room.
SHADOW Safe House – Charlie
To the west of Craggy Cliffs, you will find a small house that seems like a mini observatory. If you go to the front of the house, you should see a dumpster that you can jump into to gain access to the SHADOW safe house. F2 on the map grid.
SHADOW Safe House – Delta
On a small island near to Misty Meadows and Lazy Lake, you can find a large house where the Delta SHADOW safe house resides. You don’t need a secret entrance to access this safe house, though we would recommend that you use the phone box on the small island to move around freely. E7 on the Fortnite grid.
SHADOW Safe House – Echo
Sandwiched in-between Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands, the Echo SHADOW safe house is just a regular house that you can walk through the front door of to gain access, though we would strongly recommend that you clear all the Henchmen out first or get yourself a disguise. B4 on the Fortnite grid.
Word to the wise regarding this challenge: if you want to keep playing a match, we’d recommend you loot up at least a little before venturing into a SHADOW safe house. All the Henchmen have AKs, which seem to kill you in two shots. They aren’t like the bots you might be used to, either: they’re smarter and can actually aim.
You can dust off two challenges at once with this challenge: these Safe Houses all have at least a single Chest locked with an ID scanner, but it’s probably easiest to land at one of the new named locations where there are multiple of those chests instead.
Completing all of Brutus’ Briefings will net you the ability to unlock either a SHADOW or GHOST variant of his skin, though you will need to unlock his skin on tier 20 of the Season 2 Battle Pass beforehand.
It will be fascinating to see how this agency warfare plays out and what kind of long-term impact it will have on the storytelling of Fortnite. Who will you be siding with?
Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
