While we all stare into a black hole and wonder what the hell we are doing with our lives, dataminers have taken the initiative and leaked the Battle Pass trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 early.
Spoilers below if you don’t want anything to be revealed ahead of time.
From the trailer, it looks like the very Fortnite experience is going to be drastically changed with medals being earned for completing challenges, drivable boats, co-op emotes, fishing, the ability to leap out of bins, and, perhaps most interestingly of all, swimming.
Here’s a quick glimpse at everything new we could see in the Battle Pass trailer, minus the obvious location change.
What looks like a new shotgun with a yellow skin.
A major change on the Battle Pass challenges in the form of medals.
Fishing (hell yeah).
Don’t also forget that the upcoming season now has a name: Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1. So yeah, it’s going to be called Fortnite 2 by basically everyone.
We are still waiting on there to be an official release with Fortnite “going dark” almost hitting the 24 hour mark at this time of writing. We knew there would be a new map already, but it also looks like there will be a crazy amount of other changes to the game.
UPDATED: it looks like a previously leaked map is the one we saw in the Battle Pass trailer.
