Far Cry 6‘s Yara is a big world to explore filled with countless fights to be had, loot to collect, and crocodiles to pet. It all only gets better when you play with a friend too.
Two players can play Far Cry 6 together at any time, with them able to complete missions and just generally wreak havoc, though co-op isn’t immediately available.
To play Far Cry 6 with friends, you must first make some progress in the story and complete the Du Or Die mission on Isla Santuario. This will take you roughly an hour or so of gameplay, maybe less if you just complete missions and don’t get distracted.
Once that’s done, you then need to go into your menu, then select this symbol in the top right.
From here, you have three options:
– Play With Friend
– Search For A Partner
– Be A Partner
You will want to select Play With Friend if you, you guessed it, want to play with a friend. Then, just find your friend, invite them (though they also need to have completed Du or Die), and start playing together.
You will both earn Moneda, an in-game currency, while playing together.
Bear in mind that there is no cross-play in Far Cry 6, so only PC players can play with PC players, only PS5 players can play with PS5 players, and so on.
Far Cry 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Stadia.
