Epic Games Disable Fortnite’s Shadow Stones Following Bugs

Fortnite Shadow Stones

If you were intrigued to see what this year’s answer to Hop Rocks, Shadow Stones, were all about, well, that’s too bad: they’ve have been temporarily taken out of the game while Epic investigate an issue that made players permanently invisible.

Shadow Stones were already a polarising addition, allowing players to turn invisible for up to 45 seconds, move faster, take no fall damage, and even phase through builds. You could find them all over the map, which meant that that you were never far away from your shadowy fix.

The main drawback to them, however, is that they do not allow you to fire. One squad seems to have found a way to get around that, as well its timed nature.

Please fix this glitch. Their whole squad was perma invisible from r/FortNiteBR

Following this and other reports of the Shadow Stones bugging out, Epic Games have decided to disable them while they work on a fix.

This is just a regular occurrence with Fortnite, a game with so many moving pieces that it’s a wonder any developer can keep on top of them all. Hopefully we’ll be able to play around with the Shadow Stones over the weekend if Epic can find a fix.

These invisi-boys are part of the massive sweeping changes made for Fortnite Season 6, which include new Battle Pass skins, a handsome amount of map tweaks, as well as that infamous bunker in Wailing Woods now (sort of) opening.
