Fortnite Season 6 Guide: Dance Under Different Streetlight Spotlights Locations

Fortnite Streetlight Spotlights

Season 6 has begun and Epic has decided to break away from their usual mould of challenges for the first week. However, one style of challenge that has transitioned smoothly into the leading week of Season 6 is the scavenger hunt/exploration style challenge that tasks you to peruse the map for objects of specific interest.

The object of interest for this challenge are special streetlights with speakers bolted to them. When you dance directly under the streetlight, the light will begin to strobe and dance music will begin playing, which indicates you have successfully boogied under the light.

You must dance under different lights (i.e. you can’t dance seven times under one specific light) and it can be done over as many games as it takes as long as you finish that game, not quit it. All fairly straightforward; these lights are easy to spot, numerous (many more than seven on the map) and hang out in – mostly – obvious locations. A rather easy first week scavenger hunt to ease us into the Season 6 changes.

Below is a map with each light location circled in red (I personally found 12, but I suspect there is two more) coupled with a screenshot and the grid coordinates of each streetlight location. Remember, you only need seven different lights, not all of them, so pick the ones most convenient or quickest for you.

Dance Under Different Streetlight Spotlights – Spotlight Locations

Street Spotlight Map

Fortnite Streetlights

Abandoned Motel Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

An unnamed location on the map that rests west of Lazy Links and northeast of Pleasant Park. Located at D2 on the main map’s grid is an abandoned motel that’s been around since – at least – Season 3. On the eastern side of this motel near the overturned truck and empty swimming pool is a streetlight that can be danced under.

Disco Warehouse Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

An unnamed location, but very recognisable for those who’ve played the game for a little while. To the northwest of Flush Factory is a large warehouse district that has a very notable ‘disco warehouse’ in it. There is a streetlight around the centre of this location (south of the disco warehouse). Situated at E9 on the main map’s grid.

Desert Junkyard Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Another unnamed location with a streetlight. This area is a lot like Junk Junction just without being specifically named on the map. If you follow the main road south of Paradise Palms you’ll see a junkyard on your left, on the northern side of the junkyard is a danceable streetlight near some crushed cars. Located at I9 on the main map’s grid.

Dusty Divot Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Not strictly within Dusty Divot or the neighbouring warehouses/restaurant. To the west of both landmarks is a flipped over police car with a streetlight looking over it which you can dance under. Smack bang in the middle of the map, F5 on the main map’s grid.

Greasy Grove Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

As you would expect, Greasy Grove houses a dancing light in the centre of town, next to the outdoor store. C7 on the main map’s grid.

Junk Junction Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Another light not located strictly in the location named here, but it lies close enough. To the east of Junk Junction rests a small warehouse area (the TV sitcom one for those that remember). On the south side of the main building rests the booie light. This appears are D2 on the main map’s grid.

Lazy Links Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Lazy Links houses a streetlight you can dance under. On the northern perimeter of Lazy Links is a car park, the streetlight illuminates this car park, situated right next to a brown RV. F2 on the main map’s grid.

Pleasant Park Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

A location you would very much expect to find a scavenger hunt object to be located. On the northwestern edge of Pleasant Park is a small cul-de-sac. A strobing streetlight stands watch here. C3 on the main map’s grid.

Retail Row Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Another notable named area that possesses a danceable streetlight. Placed in the rough centre of down just west of the taco shop, right next to the mesh metal fence. H6 on the main map’s grid.

Soccer Stadium Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Another unnamed location (that I’ve been referring to as the ‘soccer stadium’ for a few seasons now) that houses a ‘beatlight’. On the western end of this location is a dilapidated swimming pool and building, the streetlight is on the east wall of this building. Situated at C5 on the main map’s grid.

Tilted Towers Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

Who would think a challenge like this could be complete without hanging out in Tilted Towers at some point? On the eastern edge of town, between the large central tower and a hill, is a danceable streetlight. This appears on the border of D5 and D6 on the main map’s grid.

Truck Stop Streetlight

Fortnite Streetlights

On the southwestern edge of the desert where it bleeds into the grassland, northeast of Lucky Landing is a large notable truck stop. A dancelight rests on the road that runs right by the truck stop. Situated at H9 on the main map’s grid.

Once you dance at seven different streetlights you will have completed the challenge. All-in-all for a scavenger hunt challenge, this is one of the more straightforward ones to ease us into the start of Season 6. After all, there are many other new changes to explore and experiment with.

This challenge is the only challenge worth a specific guide this week as Epic has, surprisingly, done away with the typical treasure hunt challenge they push every week. However, we still have a piece dedicated to documenting the new map (and some gameplay) changes for Season 6. We also have our weekly challenge walkthrough you that you can find here.
