ORIGINAL STORY: It’s become a bit of a weekly tradition now for players to snaffle up the free games on Epic Games Store and today continues that tradition with the addition of Enter the Gungeon and God’s Trigger.
Enter the Gungeon is actually free via EGS for the second time, but it’s still as great as ever. A bullet hell dungeon crawler developed by Dodge Roll and published by Devolver Digital, it’s constantly revered as one of the best indie games of the last ten years.
Also coming free today is God’s Trigger, which actually only released last year on Steam. Another brutal action game but this time from a top-down perspective, God’s Trigger pitches itself as “a power fantasy where you dispatch enemies with speed and precision in a ballet of blood and explosions.” Alright, we’re convinced.
As well as those two freebies, 3 out of 10’s episodic series continues with its third episode today. A new episode following the worst game devs in the world will be released every Thursday, all for free via Epic Games Store.
To claim these games, you only need to have an Epic Games account (should have one already if you’re one of the many million who have played Fortnite), the launcher, and 2FA enabled.
As for what time they go live, most Epic freebies become available at 4PM BST/11AM EDT every Thursday.
In other Epic news, Fortnite looks like it will be finishing its current season at the right time for a change. That doesn’t sound like big news, but it really is. Oh, and there’s the small matter of a lawsuit with Apple and Google.
