Dying Light 2: How To Unlock The Paraglider

The Paraglider is a new nightrunner tool added in Dying Light 2 that is used to quickly cover long distance by gliding through the air.

The Paraglider is not immediately available in Dying Light 2. Players must clear the first area by completing the Let’s Waltz quest and then get given the Paraglider by Lawan as part of the A Place To Call Home story mission when they get to the central loop.

Depending on how much of the side content you do and how widely you explore Old Villedor, you should expect it take anywhere between 10 and 20 hours to unlock the Paraglider. If you solely focus on the story missions, you might be able to get it less than ten hours.

The Paraglider can be used by pressing X (Xbox)/square (PlayStation) on a controller or Z on mouse and keyboard. The paraglider takes a little bit of getting used to in terms of controlling it, but the basic is that pulling backwards will help you glide in a straight line, while pushing forwards will bring you down faster. You can also use air vents dotted around rooftops to help you quick gliding.

Bear in mind that the Paraglider will use up stamina, with you plummeting downwards if you’re too high up and your stamina depletes.

The Paraglider can also be upgraded a further two times with Old World Money and Military Tech, which can be found at Military Air Drops, to give it a boost in the air, which really transforms how you use it. You won’t miss the buggies at all, but it’s even better with the grappling hook.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
