Dying Light 2: The First Biomarker Guide

The First Biomarker
The First Biomarker

The First Biomarker is a quest in Houndfield that is given to you by McGregor in Dying Light 2.

McGregor claims to be the brains behind the first biomarker (essentially what tells survivors if they’re in danger of turning), except it had the side effect of making its users stronger and more erratic, as you will come to find out for yourself. McGregor gives you a note with a riddle for a safe code and sends you on your way.

The biomarker is located at Saint Joseph Hospital in the north of Houndfield, an absolutely massive building that’s hard to miss but quite difficult to figure out how to ascend. There are two ways of getting into Saint Joseph Hospital.

The first way to get in is to find this bus on the north side, fight your way through infected, and clamber up to the next level.

The second way up requires you to have unlocked the paraglider, which becomes available after you reach the central loop. With the paraglider, find this air vent and then easily glide your way over to the roof area, and then up into the room with the safe.

Now it’s time to crack the safe; the code is 973.

What becomes smaller when you turn it upside down?
9 (because it becomes 6).

An odd number — take away a letter and it becomes even.
7 (because take the letter s off of seven and it becomes even).

A little girl goes to the store and buys one dozen eggs. As she is going homw, all but three eggs break. How many eggs are left unbroken?
3, as the riddle says all but three have broken out of the dozen.

Enter the code 973 and collect the first biomarker, at which point Aiden will suddenly be attacked by infected. You will be able to dispatch of them with no difficulty at all thanks to the biomarker, even if the swaying screen makes you feel drunk.

Return the first biomarker to McGregor and he will reward you with an Inhibitor and also a GRE collectable document.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
