Does Dying Light 2 Have Any Vehicles?

Dying Light 2 is a big game with an equally big world to explore, meaning that no doubt many players will want to get behind the wheel of a car and start driving around Villedor. Does Dying Light 2 have any vehicles to let you go zooming around the map in, though?

No, there are no vehicles in Dying Light 2. The fall of civilization has made most technology either useless or without power, and the streets of Villedor are too messy and chaotic to drive a car through even if there were any cars left working. You get in a van at a certain point in the story, but you don’t drive it around.

Luckily, though, you don’t even really need vehicles in the game. Once you get to the second area of the map, you unlock the Paraglider, a Nightrunner Tool that allows you to soar through the air for hundreds of meters at a time and reach great heights. It’s almost like having wings and is the best way of reaching the heights of many of the game’s skyscrapers. You won’t even miss vehicles.

However, it’s worth bearing in mind that just because Dying Light 2 doesn’t have any vehicles at launch, it doesn’t mean it never will. The first game didn’t have any vehicles until the release of The Following expansion which introduced buggies. All we’re saying is that there’s a whole world beyond the walls of The City and a lot of open road to explore.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
