Developer Sends Us A Potato To Check Out Their Video Game

We’ve had a lot of PR stuff come through our door here at Cultured Vultures. Some of it has been good, some bad, but none of them have been a potato.

Until now.

Noticing an enviable gap in the market for potato PR, the guys behind the upcoming Spaceplan jumped at the opportunity. Here it is in all its glory:

Spaceplan game

The tater has a message which reads:

“VISIT SPACEPLAN.CLICK AND UNCOVER SECRETS OF THE GALAXY”

When you go to the URL, you find the website for the game, which is a sci-fi clicker involving potatoes. It’s “an experimental piece of interaction based partly on a total misunderstanding of Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time.”

Developed by Jake Hollands and published by Devolver Digital, Spaceplan is out on May 4th for mobile devices and PC.

The package also came with a discount code (IGOTAPOTATO) for uk.potatoparcel.com, which you can use for 10% off. I send starchy treats to everyone anyway, so I have no use for it.

What a stupid way to get someone to check out your video game, there’s no wa–wait. Goddamn it.

I will only take correspondence via potato from now on. I will accept sweet potatoes, but mash is unacceptable.

Some of the coverage you find on Cultured Vultures contains affiliate links, which provide us with small commissions based on purchases made from visiting our site. We cover gaming news, movie reviews, wrestling and much more.
