Dauntless Season 5 Week 2 Hunt Pass Challenges – Shock & Roll

That dodge one could be a real pain.

Look, it’s more Dauntless coverage. We hope you’re not sick of the game yet, because there’s another set of Hunt Pass challenges to complete, each one netting you 150 Heartseekers, which is a level-up and a half on the Hunt Pass. Completing all 4 challenges will see you advance 6 levels, so they’re absolutely worth doing.

The challenges this week, for the most part, aren’t too taxing. Like last week, you can easily knock out two of the challenges at the same time, before circling back for the third one. The fourth one, however, might be a bit of a pain. Let’s check out Week 2 of Dauntless’ Hunt Pass challenges.

Dauntless Season 5 Week 2 Challenges

Shocking Display – [Slay 10 Behemoths using Shock Weapons]

No Surrender – [Slay 10 Behemoths using Repeaters or Axes]

Behemoth’s Bane – [Slay 10 Behemoths using Hammers or War Pikes]

For these challenges, the onus is on you regarding how you complete them. While 30 hunts might sound like a lot, you can easily knock that down to 20 if you have a Shock Axe, Hammer or War Pike. That’ll net you two challenges immediately, and then you can finish the third one off after that. Simple enough.

Master of Evasion – [Dodge through 125 attacks]

This is where things get a little bit more tricky, as dodging through attacks can be quite finicky. Essentially, the game wants you to use the dodge invincibility frames to dodge through an attack at the last second. There can be no running away when you see a Behemoth charging up an attack. You need to actively use the dodge roll to avoid damage. The best solution, honestly, would be to complete the other challenges as normal, pick a Behemoth and just hunt that exclusively, learning its attack patterns so you can dodge with ease. Best of luck with this one.

Of course, these weekly challenges aren’t the only guides we’ve published on Dauntless. If you’re just starting out, we’ve written up a host of beginner’s tips that should make your journey into the Shattered Isles more enjoyable, while if you’re looking for explanations regarding how Perks and Mastery work, there’s guides for that too.
