Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Arriving This October

Shame it got leaked like, but whatever.

Modern Warfare

In an announcement that was definitely undercut by the cavalcade of leaks that occurred before it, Activision have announced that the next instalment of the Call of Duty series is indeed called Modern Warfare, and it’ll be arriving on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25th, with the PC version launching through the Battle.net client. Check out the debut trailer below, and yes, that is Captain Price back again.

The newest entry in the series will feature crossplay support and, in a surprising move, won’t have a Season Pass like pretty much every Call of Duty since World at War. The multiplayer experience will be revealed at a later date, which is pretty standard for a Call of Duty game, but Eurogamer have noted that there will be an “all-new cooperative play mode, featuring a collection of strategic co-op missions accessible to all skill levels”. If that means Spec Ops mode is returning, I’m all about it. That said, there’s no word about how battle royale will factor into this game, if at all.
