Dating-Action Game Eternights Could Be State Of Play’s Sleeper Hit

Launching early 2023.

Eternights

Tonight’s State of Play was filled with announcements and reveals, including the likes of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Spider-Man coming to the PC and Street Fighter 6, but if you want a surprise sleeper hit from the event, it might just be Studio Sai’s Eternights, which looks to blend action-adventure dungeon crawling with a dating sim. Oh, and there’s an apocalypse too. There’s a lot going on here, but the trailer looks great. Check it out for yourself at the top of the page.

The game sees a mysterious entity infecting most of humanity, turning them into creatures driven by violence and power. You’re part of a team looking to find a cure and put an end to this crisis, but you’re also a human being looking to find a reason to live in a world on the brink.

You’ll be able to grow closer with five different confidents, allowing you to unlock new skills when you take them on missions, while also offering the potential for romance. However, everything in Eternights has a deadline, so you might have to make some difficult choices along the way.

Eternights is coming to PC, PS4 and PS5 in early 2023, and it could be a genuine hit, as the genre clashes and overall style of the game look promising. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing a lot more of this game in the coming months.
