Cuphead’s The Delicious Last Course DLC Delayed Until 2020

"This DLC will get red hot!"

Cuphead

StudioMDHR have announced that the long-awaited Cuphead DLC The Delicious Last Course has been delayed until 2020, though it will be launching on PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch when it’s ready.

In an official blog post on StudioMDHR’s website, the developers mentioned that their “highest priority is making sure this new adventure meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for”. They also talk about a desire to avoid crunch, as “the development of the original game taught us a great deal about the importance of making things in a way that’s healthy and sustainable for our team.”

The DLC package will include a whole new island, with new bosses, new charms, weapons and the new playable character, Ms Chalice. While over 2 and a half years is certainly a long time to wait for a piece of DLC, we’d be willing to wait even longer for something as special as more Cuphead if it means the developers don’t overwork themselves. Take your time, StudioMDHR, we’ll still be here when you’re finished. In the meantime, you can have a read of our review from 2017 if you fancy.
