Crackdown 3 Releases Today For Xbox Game Pass

We are running out of opportunities to use Terry Crews images.

Crackdown 3

It’s been a long old wait for Crackdown 3 with it being delayed many times, but today is finally the day for you to collect all of the orbs with its arrival as part of Xbox Game Pass. This means that if you are currently an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, it’s included within the price. It’s also a Play Anywhere title, meaning that you can play it on your PC.

Crackdown 3 puts you into the shoes of an agent of The Agency as they push back a criminal organisation by eliminating their bosses one by one. Emphasising style, players can kill criminals with different weapons to put towards upgrades for their character. It’s bombastic and quintessential Crackdown, though that premise has not held up too well in the nearly ten years since the second game out in the eyes of critics.

“The city is under fire from TerraNova Corporation and only you can save it from a blackout! Gear up, power up and save New Providence.”

While this may not matter to those who’ve been waiting for it for a long time, Crackdown 3 has not exactly earned raved reviews from critics. With scores ranging from a nine all the way down to a 4 on Metacritic, it’s mostly been criticised for a short campaign with repetitive gameplay and also the feeling of it being outdated. On the other hand, there are those that have taken it entirely on face value: a simple excuse to leap around and make the bad guys go dead as Terry Crews.

We’ll be going down the retail route for our Crackdown 3 review and will have that with you once we are all orbed out. What about you? Are you looking forward to playing it? Want to see Sumo Digital go on to finally salvage Dead Island 2 (yep, that’s still technically a thing) after this? Let us know down in the comments below.
