Call of Duty Blackout Free For All Of April

Also comes with new map, Alcatraz.

Blackout

Activision and Treyarch have revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode Blackout will be available for free for the entire month of April on all platforms. An online subscription will be required for PS4 and Xbox One, mind you, but still. If you’re tired of Apex Legends and Fortnite, you may as well try Blackout.

To celebrate this free period, Blackout has received a brand new map in the form of Alcatraz. Yes, the island prison in San Francisco is now a battle royale map, which looks like it could be the smallest battle royale map in any video game. Of course it would be Call of Duty that would provide the Call of Duty map equivalent of Shipment.

The map is available right now for PS4 players only, as part of Black Ops 4’s ongoing content exclusivity with Sony, but other platforms are expected to receive this map soon. We’d wager it’ll be available next week. Are you excited for Blackout’s free period, or the new map? Sound off in the comments below.
