Apex Legends Said To Have Biggest Launch Month Of Any F2P Game

Breaking records once again.

Apex Legends Season 1 Battle Pass

A new report by digital market analyst SuperData has revealed in its February report that Apex Legends brought in $92 million in in-game purchases alone, making it the fourth biggest revenue generator on console and the sixth biggest generator on PC.

Though this revenue put Apex behind Fortnite, which was the second and fifth biggest revenue generator on console and PC respectively, it does give Apex Legends the distinction of having the best launch for any free-to-play game in history.

With the long anticipated Apex Legends Battle Pass out this week, it’ll be interesting to see how much revenue the game brings in over the next month or two, especially when most fans agree that the Battle Pass itself doesn’t exactly live up to the potential laid out by the game’s impressive launch.

Either way, February proved to be an alright month for EA, as Anthem managed to bring in $3.5 million through in-game purchases with a digital download ratio that was “above average”.
