The biggest and fakest holiday of the year is nearly upon us: Black Friday. The day itself arguably means less and less with many companies starting their sales way before and long after, evidenced by Sony already pushing out their Black Friday deals on the PlayStation Store a whole week before they technically should be.
While there are some good savings, it’s not what you would call a huge sale. Limited to just 42 games (on the UK version, at least), the deals range from brand new games to Dragon Ball FighterZ still not retailing for under half its RRP. God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man and more are all included, alongside a bunch of DLC reductions.
Here are the best deals we could find from the PlayStation Store Black Friday sale; prices below are in GBP and may vary depending on your region.
God of War – £24.99 Detroit: Become Human – £24.99 Marvel’s Spider-Man – £34.99 Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – £34.99 Rainbow Six Siege (free weekend currently available) – £9.49 Overwatch Legendary Edition – £15.99 The Crew 2 – £15.99 WWE 2K19 – £29.99 Astro Robot Rescue Mission – £19.99 Ni No Kuni II – £19.99
As you can see, there are some good deals to be had. I can’t remember seeing Detroit, GoW, or Spider-Man for that cheap anywhere on retail sale yet, though I might have expected Detroit to be a little cheaper.
There are some weird ones in there as well, however. Black Ops 4 is still selling for £40+ and there is no standard edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 available at a discount, which goes for a staggering £59.99 on the PlayStation Store. Games may still cost $60 in the US but they certainly don’t cost £40 in the UK anymore.
Anyway, the Black Friday deals are on from now until November 26th. What are ya buyin’?
