The Artful Escape Shreds Its Way to Xbox One At E3 2017

The Artful Escape

Freshman developer Beethoven & Dinosaur unveiled their debut project The Artful Escape at Microsoft’s E3 presentation today.

Beginning with a normal-looking city street adorned with show bills for various folk performers (all named Vendetti), the short trailer quickly transitioned into surreal, guitar-shredding splendor as the protagonist side-scrolled his way through vibrant landscapes and a swelling soundtrack.

From the trailer listing:

The Artful Escape of Francis Vendetti is a video game about great expectations, famous folk singers, lingering shadows, space Gods, hallucinogens, individuality, reptile shops, and wild imaginations. It’s an action, adventure, exploration, narrative driven, musical-laser-light-battle kind of game and is the debut of release from Beethoven & Dinosaur.

In a conference full of exciting titles, this one certainly stood out.

Look for it when it’s “damn ready,” but check out the trailer below in the meantime.
