Wrestling games feature a lot of moves and tools to allow players to create incredible spots, or recreate moments that have happened in real life. One such tool is the ability to drag opponents who are lying down on the ground, maneuvering them into a different position in order to hit certain offense, and it’s a tool that players can use to full effect in AEW: Fight Forever. If you need to know how to move around a prone opponent after hitting them with a big move, this is what you need to know about dragging downed opponents in AEW: Fight Forever.

AEW: Fight Forever | How To Drag Downed Opponents

In order to drag opponents while they’re lying down on the ground, all you need to do is approach a downed opponent then hold R2/RT. Your controlled wrestler will then grab one of the limbs of their opponent, allowing you to move them around the ring or outside by moving the left stick.

Dragging an opponent while they’re lying on the ground is an important part of your reportoire, as a key rule in wrestling is rope breaks. If a wrestler who is being pinned or is in a submission hold can touch the ring ropes, the attacking wrestler has to break the pinfall/submission. In-game, this translates to pins and submissions being ineffective if the opponent is lying down next to the ropes, so you’ll want to drag your opponent first before pinning them.
