The fine folks over at Mad Fellows have just dropped the best Christmas present yet. They’ve announced that their smash hit rhythm action game Aaero will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on December 24th, and yes, the Complete Edition will come with all previously released DLC as standard.
Paul Norris, Creative Director at Mad Fellows, had this to say about the announcement: “Aaero is a fast paced game that relies on super-responsive controls to keep the action locked to the music. It’s deceptively demanding in terms of hardware. Fortunately, it turns out the Switch is a little beast! It quickly became obvious that this was going to be something very special.”
If you’ve never played it, Aaero is an incredibly immersive audio visual driven game that takes elements from the likes of Rez and Amplitude, but creates an experience unlike anything else. We’re rather fond of it here at CV, calling it one of our best games of 2017 in fact. The Complete Edition includes the base game, along with the 1000DaysWasted: Drum & Bass Pack and The Monstercat Pack which add six new songs to the game. You also have 3 additional ships to choose from, for added customisation.
I wish I could say this would a Day 1 purchase for me, especially for the extremely reasonable price of £10.99/$14.99, but I’m still waiting for Santa Claus to leave a Nintendo Switch underneath the tree. Consider Aaero a Day 2 purchase, at least.
