Following on from its official poster reveal, Disney have released a new batch of images from their upcoming superhero comedy Ant-Man and the Wasp. Check them out below.

A sequel to their successful 2015 superhero adventure, Ant-Man and the Wasp sees Paul Rudd returning as the titular shrinking superhero Hank Pym, who this time teams up with Hope van Dyne, AKA the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) to uncover dark secrets from their past. Michael Douglas will return as Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, with Michael Peña also returning as reformed criminal Luis. New cast members include Walton Goggins, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Hannah John-Kamen as the villainous Ghost. Director Peyton Reed and producer Kevin Feige are also returning from the previous film.

Somewhere out there, legions of Ant-Man fans were probably crying Pacific Ocean levels of tears over the fact that his scenes were cut from Avengers: Infinity War. Add to that the fact that Ant-Man and the Wasp was delayed in the UK due to the FIFA World Cup, and we’re talking Noah’s Ark proportions of tears. Either way, Ant-Man and the Wasp actually takes place before Infinity War, so it should explain why Hank Pym did not show up in last month’s superhero extravaganza, which I’m sure had nothing to do with the fact that Disney decided that he wasn’t a bankable enough character.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in the US on July 6, 2018, and in the UK on August 3.
