Final Fantasy VII Remake’s boxart originally stated that the game would be a timed exclusive for one year, before launching on other platforms. Since the delay of a month, a new version of that boxart has emerged, confirming that the exclusivity period now ends on April 10th, 2021, a year after the game drops on PS4.
No other platform has been confirmed as of yet, which isn’t surprising considering that two brand new consoles will be launching in the middle of this exclusive period, but at the very least, a port to the PC is most likely. Fellow PS4 exclusive Death Stranding is taking the same route, so expect a PC launch in 2021.
Square Enix themselves have been revealing more and more about the game in the run up to release, with the most recent trailer revealing a host of unseen characters and story beats that fans of the original game will no doubt appreciate.
