30 Easiest Xbox One Games For 1000G in Achievements

21. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

If Clustertruck is the most difficult 1000G on this list, then Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is by far the most time consuming. Clocking in around 15 hours for the main storyline alone, a lot of achievements are related to side quests and getting Gold Awards for certain statistical milestones. If you’re not willing to grind, you won’t be able to complete the full list. Though the achievement list is simple enough yet time consuming, the game as a whole is fantastic, and perhaps that’s more important.

Nah, give me that gamerscore.

Time: 30 hours (ish)
Difficulty: 7/10
Worth it?: Most definitely

22. #IDARB

Y’all remember #IDARB? It stood for I Drew A Red Box, and launched as a Games With Gold title. It blended together basketball, 2-D platforming and Twitch integration to create something that was more of a clusterfuck than Clustertruck. There was a solid week after the launch where everyone was playing it, then people like me were complaining that half the achievements were tied to Kinect features. They’ve fixed that heinous error since then, but you might still struggle with the couple of online achievements, what with the servers being desolate and all. Stick a Looking for Group post up on the TrueAchievements club and you should be sorted.

Time: 3 hours, or however long it takes for someone to respond to your LFG post.
Difficulty: 4/10, or 15/10 if the idea of co-operating with strangers makes you break out in hives.
Worth it?: If you got the game when it went free back in January 2015, it’s worth going back.

23. Pneuma: Breath of Life

Another Games With Gold entry here, and another walking simulator/narrative experience. It’s practically a twofer! Whilst the overall meaning of the game is up for debate, Pneuma touches on various light reading topics such as the meaning of existence and whether or not we are the masters of own fate. Naturally, the only way to solve such lofty questions is with weird vision based puzzles. It’s a mostly comedic tale with a strong finale and, most importantly, easy achievements. As usual, break out those video guides after your initial playthrough.

Time: 2-4 hours
Difficulty: 6/10
Worth it?: Yes sir!

24. Nutjitsu

Nutjitsu

Contrary to popular belief, Nutjitsu is not the martial art based solely on kicking a guy in the plums repeatedly, but a rather boring rip-off/clone of the Pac-Man style of game. Your character, a weird Ninja Squirrel thing, wanders round a set map avoiding enemies and nabbing certain collectibles. It’s a tried and tested, simple formula but one that’s simply insipid when implemented here. Getting to maximum rank will be a grind, and you’ll probably wish you had those hours of your life back afterwards.

Time: 5 hours
Difficulty: 4/10
Worth it?: You’d be nuts to think so. No, I am not proud of that one.

25. World II: Hunting Boss

For our next game, we look to Taiwan of all places, specifically RPG boss fighter World 2: Hunting Boss. Apparently it was originally a mobile game that got ported to the Xbox One, and these boss fights are basically lifted from a full version of the game which included full troop battles and the like. Sounds cool, but beating up bosses is cool in it’s own right. It’s like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter, without the fluff in between, or the difficulty.

Time: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: 5/10
Worth it?: Yeah, it’s pretty cheap and quite fun.

26. Thomas Was Alone

Basically the founding father of indie platformers, Thomas Was Alone was a tale of AIs growing sentient and desiring freedom. It’s The Matrix but with more rectangles and less spoons. It’s been ported to practically every current platform imaginable and was the game that catapulted Mike Bithell into indie game development stardom. The story itself is fascinating, whilst the puzzles had a whiff of The Lost Vikings to them, requiring you to utilise the unique abilities of the characters to proceed. If the effortless achievements haven’t swayed you yet, Danny Wallace’s impeccable narration will.

Time: 2-3 Hours
Difficulty: 5/10
Worth it?: Without a doubt.

27. Black & White Bushido

Let’s drop a disclaimer in front of this one: unless you have or can get 4 controllers synced up to one Xbox, you’ll only be able to walk away with 980G overall. The 11 other achievements are a piece of piss; you just have to worry about spare controllers. Black and White Bushido is a great game for parties, especially when the drinks and the salt begin to flow, but if you’re looking purely for achievements and get OCD when you can’t complete the game, be aware of this. I’m just covering my back, I don’t want people commenting with such drivel as: “You said this was easy but I need more controllers, WAHHHHH!”

You’ve been warned.

Time: 3 hours
Difficulty: 3/10, 4 controller achievement notwithstanding.
Worth it?: Not if you’re planning on buying 3 extra controllers.

28. Hue

Another entry, another indie platformer. Who would have thought? Hue, rather unsurprisingly, is a game about colour. You live in a boring grey world, searching for your lost mother and along the way you discover colour and maybe even the courage inside yourself. Or whatever. Here, you control colour to remove obstacles from your path. At its most basic level, you’re turning the background red to remove a red wall, but it quickly gets more advanced than that. 8 colours gives you a lot to deal with in later levels! The old trusty video guides will have get broken out for the collectibles, but it’s nothing too taxing.

Time: 4 hours
Difficulty: 6/10
Worth it?: It won’t leave you feeling blue. I’m still not proud.

29. Late Shift

Late Shift game trailer

There probably isn’t a better entry for the penultimate game on this list than another narrative experience, especially considering they make up over a third of this list. Hope you like stories, because you’ll be experiencing a lot of them. Late Shift is different to the others though as it’s an FMV crime thriller. Based in London, Late Shift follows Matt, a parking attendant working the titular late shift when he becomes the unwilling accomplice of an auction heist. Similar to a Telltale Game, you have make the decisions and dialogue choices to ultimately decide the fate of Matt and the other characters he encounters. In order to get the full 1000G, you need obtain the 7 different endings and fulfil certain criteria along the way. As ever, give the game one or two blind runs before typing “Late Shift Achievement Guides” into Google.

Time: 7 hours maximum (1 per playthrough)
Difficulty: 3/10
Worth it?: It’s not without fault, but it’s interesting enough to be worth a try.

30. Every ACA NEOGEO Game

Well done for reaching this far, I certainly do appreciate it. To reward you, allow me to present the ACA NEOGEO Collection. The ACA NEOGEO games are old SNK games that have been re-released on Xbox One and PSN with online leaderboards and, most relevant to our interests, achievements. Despite the wide range of games available, which includes King of Fighters, Metal Slug, Turf Masters, King of the Monsters and more, the achievement lists for these games doesn’t tend to deviate. Essentially you’re just earning high enough scores in the different modes before the game decides to sprinkle 1000G all over your gamercard.

At the time of writing, there’s 30 ACA NEOGEO titles available on the marketplace, so you’re bound to find something that you can excel at. Either way, that’s 30k gamerscore from old SNK games alone, and at £6.39/$7.99 each, they’re not that expensive either. If someone ever challenges you to a gamerscore race, these are your cheap and reliable secret weapons. Enjoy!

Time: 1-2 hours each, on average.
Difficulty: Varies depending on player skill and typical SNK AI being shitlords. The Trueachievement score for each game is generally a reliable source for how difficult each game is. World Heroes is almost too easy whilst King of the Monsters is more of a struggle. Do your research.
Worth it?: Probably not worth buying ALL of them, but Metal Slug is always worth it.

And that, girls and boys, is the list. If you add the combined gamerscore of all the games mentioned (those 30 NEOGEO titles included), you’re looking at around 60k, which would certainly raise some questions from your friends on those monthly leaderboards. Of course, this isn’t an extensive list and there’s bound to be something missing. Let us know your picks for the easiest 1000G titles on Xbox One in the comments below.
