Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How To Remove Attachments

Of the many innovations with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, few of them are as fun as rewarding as the ability to stick things together with Link’s Ultrahand or Fuse. It’s a system really rewards experimentation, but what if you attach the wrong thing? Or how about if you just want to keep experimenting? What if you want to ride your shield but the attachment is stopping you? It might not appear like there’s a way of removing attachments, but you’re going to have to do some journeying first.

To remove attachments in Tears of the Kingdom, head over to Tarrey Town, which lies on the far east side of the map. It’s to the north of Zora’s Domain, and is filled with builders and prospectors.

Once in Tarrey Town, find the Break-A-Part Shop right by the main entrance and speak to Pelison. He will help you to remove attachments from any of your weapons or shields for 20 rupees.

Accept the deal, then you will have two items instead of one as they will no longer be attached. Don’t forget to go and pick them up again where he leaves them. Bear in mind that Pelison cannot reattach two items, but that’s another mistake you can easily make yourself.
