Not content with the absolute tepid response that they received for both the single player and multiplayer components when they released CrossfireX a few years back, Smilegate are trying again. This time, they’ve partnered with new studio That’s No Moon, formed of industry veterans across the shooter genre, to release a new Crossfire game. Have a butchers at the trailer.
A single player game, Crossfire will follow two operatives from opposing forces, Cross and Layla, as they are forced to work together against a threat that seems to be mutating soldiers on both sides. It’s It Takes Two, but with sci-fi military nonsense and Claudia Doumit from The Boys, so it should be a hell of a lot better than the last Crossfire. We’ll find out in 2027 when it launches on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S.
