Yakuza 3, 4 & 5 To Be Remastered For PS4

Yakuza

SEGA have announced that they’ll be remastering Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 and bringing them to the PS4, with Yakuza 3 being released in Japan on August 9. The fourth game will then be released at some point in the autumn/fall, followed by the fifth early next year.

Unlike the Kiwami versions of Yakuza 1 and 2, these remasters won’t feature major graphical overhauls or changes to the gameplay systems. Instead, the games will be just like they were before, but they’ll boast 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution.

Unfortunately, SEGA haven’t confirmed a Western localisation as of yet, which is unsurprising. We’re still waiting on word of Fist of the North Star coming to the West. If SEGA continue with the localisation pace being set by Yakuza Kiwami 2, we should expect to see this trilogy of game begin to release over in the West in about 8 months time. It’s either that or they’ll package them all together to release in the summer of 2019. Who knows?
